EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS

New at the Pavilion! Our educational field trip program is not your typical ice skating trip! Students will learn about the history of ice rinks and take a tour of our facility. Students will be taught the basics about refrigeration, how to make ice, and how ice floor works. A demonstration of the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) will be given. Rink logistics will be discussed as well as a lesson in skate sharpening. After the tour students will have the opportunity to take an ice skating and ice hockey lesson taught by the Pavilion's professional staff! The field trip will conclude with ice skating. Lunch packages are available.
