Furman Gatewood, a native Greenville resident, has been coordinator at Mt. Pleasant Community Center since 1986. He is a graduate of North Greenville College and the Southern Baptist Seminary Extension Program. When Furman is not planning and supervising programs at Mt. Pleasant he serves as pastor of the Community Mission Baptist Church in Taylors.

- Community Meetings: Mt. Pleasant Community Association meets 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:00 pm in the Annex.

Afterschool Program
Mt. Pleasant offers this program for youth K5 through 5th grade.
Pick-up is available from Robert E. Cashion, Sara Collins, Blythe,
and Thomas E. Kerns Elementary Schools. School bus drop-off is provided from Grove and Sue Cleveland Elementary.
